Well what a year it has been! Just to think that it was 1 year ago that we moved to sydney to pursue a new position within the college I work for, and 12 months later, I feel like Sydney is well and truly our new home, albeit for the rain. not cool.
Anyhows I have some time off over Christmas which is giving me lots of time to reflect on the year that has been as well as do some much loved cooking, something that I don’t seem to be doing much of anymore. Shame on me!
Next year you will be glad to know that I have grand plans for We Are Messengers with lots of ideas that I am dreaming up in my head. Perhaps over my christmas break I will get a chance to make a start on these… watch this space.

Well last weekend we ventured in to the shops, only to discover Christmas trees and decorations lining the shelves. Luckily for us, we’ve been busy working behind the scenes here at We Are Messengers to provide you with our new range of Christmas cards for 2010. You’ll be able to purchase these at the upcoming Finders Keepers in Brisbane on November 6th & 7th 2010. We hope you are just as excited about them as we are.

It’s come to that time of year where we sign off, put our feet up and relax… (well maybe not quite) there is still plenty of Christmas shopping to do and Christmas cards to write. One thing is for sure, the Christmas tree is up and decorated – take note of the beautiful wooden decorations I bought for 50c each at some Carols last week. A little old man was selling them, so I bought 12!
Anyhows, it’s been an amazing end of year and 2010 so far promises us to be an even better year!

ahh no, I’m not referring to that phenomenon which is the Twilight movie series, I’m talking about the Christmas Twilight Market at Portside. It’s this Friday night, there are a whole load of amazing stalls and best of all there will be plenty of Christmas gift ideas on offer.

Filled with beautiful pages of taste bud tantalizing goodness. I took my lunch hour today to the cool air conditioned shops, sat with my frappe and scone and drooled over Issue 4.
We are happy to say that we make a few little appearances in this issue, check out ‘Rapt’ on page 49 for some We Are Messenger goodness and you’ll also find us in the Marketplace on page 107.
We are super proud of this little gem of a magazine and think Kelley and Ben deserve more than 3 awards (did I mention they recently scooped up some awards for Best Sustainability in Publishing, Best Design in the ‘Consumer’ magazine category, and best overall Graphic Designer of the year!). Great work guys, now you have me sitting and waiting for Issue 5.
