Ceramics

I am finding myself in love with dainty ceramic bowls and dishes. They seem to make a cute little statement wherever they sit in the house. One ceramic artist who I stumbled across at Bleeding Heart in Brisbane is Kim Aitken. You can see a small selection of her work on display or you can contact Kim direct to discuss other products in stock as well as offering a custom order service. I’m writing my list now….

Felt & Wire Shop

I found this beautiful online store filled with fabulous designed paper goods called ‘Felt & Wire Shop’. If you haven’t come across this shop before, then I do recommend a cup of tea and a few hours set aside for browsing. So many gorgeous prints, cards, calendars, light fittings and diaries… Love this coral Toucan print – I can see it on my wall now.

Working Class Hero

I’ve just fallen in love with this gorgeous grey leather bag by Working Class Heroes. It’s designed to carry laptops amongst other things.

I’m currently working out how to afford the 389 Euros for it… hmmmm

Beautiful Prints by Rafa Jenn

Absolutely loving these abstract & colourful prints By Rafa Jenn.  In his collection he has a range of limited edition screen prints, giclee and archival prints. Love it.

Original Applique

Stumbled upon these unique yet oh so original applique artworks by Applique Originals. Based in Newcastle, UK, the craftsmanship that goes in to each one is just amazing.

Gorgeous Paper Labels

This is the place to go for those old school labels from times past. Oh what to do with them! So many ideas. I especially love the Gordons Freckle Cream label… and Good to the Last sip! hehe

Valentine's Day card #2

Here is a second sneak peek in to our Valentine’s Day range of greeting cards. They are lovingly hand screen printed and available in new exciting 2 colour print. We are addicted.

I can’t wait till Valentine’s Day to hear all the lovely romantic stories. Hopefully our cards will feature somewhere in those stories too. Have a great day!

Who wants a sneak peek?

Well friends Valentine’s Day is not that far away and poor old cupid will be out again aiming that bow and arrow of his in to the air. We are in full prep and quite excited to see our first ever Valentine’s Day cards come to life. Our first of two designs has just been printed and we are feeling quite excited. It’s our very first two colour print and we are in lurve. Or perhaps addicted to this new world of two colour print. Either way, we hope you have someone special to send a card to this year!

We’ll be organising some proper photographs very soon for you to drool over.

Holidays + Patterns

MonirPattern_web

Happy new year friends – we hope your start to 2010 has been superb.

So whilst we are not “officially” back in the office we thought we should share a little of our holiday fun with you. We’ve recently been visiting GoMA – The Gallery of Modern Art which is located right here in the heart of Brisbane. One of my fave exhibitions is currently on and if you haven’t ever had a chance to check it out then now is the time to do so. The exhibition of which I am speaking is the APT6 – The 6th Asia Pacific Triennial of Art. Inspiring artworks from artists in the Asia Pacific region are on display – ranging from painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture and installation. This particular APT really feels like one of the best yet. Even if you are not into art you will still be enthralled at what these artists have created.

The above is image is taken from a multimedia installation in which you can create your own pattern of infinity via a touch screen. Learn more about the artist Monir Shahroudy Farmanfarmaian and her Iranian culture which has led her to this awesome idea.

Loving these pom pom vines
