Well what a year it has been! Just to think that it was 1 year ago that we moved to sydney to pursue a new position within the college I work for, and 12 months later, I feel like Sydney is well and truly our new home, albeit for the rain. not cool.

Anyhows I have some time off over Christmas which is giving me lots of time to reflect on the year that has been as well as do some much loved cooking, something that I don’t seem to be doing much of anymore. Shame on me!

Next year you will be glad to know that I have grand plans for We Are Messengers with lots of ideas that I am dreaming up in my head. Perhaps over my christmas break I will get a chance to make a start on these… watch this space.

We had some wonderful news in our inbox today – We Are Messengers greeting cards have been published in Rockport Publishers newest release “1000 More Greetings“. We are super excited to see 4 of our greeting cards featured on page 44.

We are putting our orders in for a few copies so once we’ve got our hands on the printed copy we’ll take some photos to share with one and all.

We have some very exciting news for one and all. We Are Messengers is on the move to Sydney. We are packing up our products and leaving the sunny winters of Brisbane to join the rat race that is Sydney.

We thank all of our Brisbane suppliers and customers for their support over the last year and we hope that even though we will be interstate you won’t forget us! We certainly won’t forget you.

We’ve been in hibernation lately and for good reason too. It’s winter, so my legs move a little slower and on top of this we’ve been working on our new website. It’s always exciting seeing the final product of what has been days of hard work.

Well friends this week was a great week for us as we opened the pages of Giftrap magazine to see an interview with yours truly. Late last year I had a great chat with the Editor of Giftrap, Adeline Teoh on the resurgence of handmade, designer stationery products. Giftrap is a magazine for the gift/homewares industry full of great articles and information.

It’s that time of year folks, you’ve probably already been bombarded with plenty of junk mail, catalogues and flyers all telling you that inside they have the best gift ideas for this Christmas. They lie I tell you – why? Because our Christmas gift guide is the bomb.

This day two years ago, my beautiful hubby and I tied the knot. It was a similar day to this…  steaming hot beyond words.  I did feel sorry for all the boys having to stand in the sun in their brown suits.

It was a very memorable day and we’ve had lots more since then! On a happy note, we recently got all of our wedding pics and so I thought I would share my favourite two with you guys.

I will never listen to what any cynic says about marriage, I believe it is a wonderful joining of two people who share each day and every moment together. He’s my best bud and I couldn’t ask for anyone better. I don’t believe there is anyone better!

We are proud to say that tonight Youth Arts QLD launched a new initiative for the creative arts. It’s so great to see the government and these not-for profit organisations really helping out young creatives who are at present building the future of the arts for QLD.

If you see a bright pink directory floating around pick one up and be in awe of all the wonderful talent who I am honoured to be amongst.
